There are many different ways to bring the local coffee shop right to your own kitchen. No need to stop on your way to work, wait in line, and pay premium pricoes when its all available to you at home for a fraction of the price. First make sure you have a good coffee brewer that meets your needs. For example, if you are the only coffee drinker in your household, no need to buy a 10 cup maker. There are great single cup makers available. Check the coffee aisle at your local store. Even buying a more expensive brand or flavor of coffee is probably saving you money for coffee shop prices. Many of the premium coffee shops sell their brand at the supermarket as well. A great cup of coffee needs the right creamer of course. A variety of flavors of cream is also available at most supermarkets. If you have a traditional coffee maker, in an effort to save time, you might consider pouring the coffee at night so if only needs to be turned on the next morning. To get the true effect of the coffee shop at home, consider putting an overstuffed chair in a corner of the living space with your favorite magazines and some calming relaxing music!

The phrase “just hanging out at the coffee shop’ holds the suggestion of an ordinary and humdrum afternoon activity. The coffee shop used to be seen as the place where you took a date that was likely to bomb, or where elderly aunts and grandfathers held their daily court on the weather and politics. Menu options were limited to sugary breakfast foods, and anything could be had to drink as long as it had to do with basic coffee.
Coffee enthusiasts today understand that their customers want to be able to buy environmentally responsible and fair-trade beverages without sacrificing quality. They also want their coffee shops to be a destination store, and increasingly, coffee shops are meeting those needs. The coffee shop that cares enough about their community to provide high quality beverages also cares enough to make the coffee shop the hub of the community. Art shows and music featuring local artists, coffee tastings, and brewing workshops are common. Many shops also plan days just for kids, or for patrons with four-legged friends.
So take a stroll down to your neighborhood coffee shop today. Introduce yourself to the barista. Find out what delicious options are on the menu for all times of the day. While you are there, ask what-s going on in the neighborhood. They are sure to know.

Sometimes the first thing you wake up to in the morning is the smell of coffee. But when you got to drink that cup of aromatic coffee, it tastes like something bitter. Our nose can trick us into thinking something is going to taste good just because it smells good. Smells can be deceiving in so many ways. The smell of a cake in the oven can make you want to cut into the first piece, only to find that the cake has no sugar in it and is flat.Additional information can be found at http://www.everydayhealth.com/allergy-specialist/lost-sense-of-smell.aspx. If you hold your nose and can-t smell what you are putting in your mouth, then chances are you won-t be able to taste it. Your nose aids in how you taste foods. On the other hand, if you smell something that is not appealing, it may actually taste fairly good. Your nose can inform you of what you should and should not eat. In most cases, it is reliable and you can trust it. Another good example of how the nose is nice to us is when you are cooking a roast. The aroma that comes from the cock pot or oven is consistent with the taste of the food. So if something smells good, then most of the time it will be good to eat.

We spend a lot of time in coffee shops as most of our readers do and whether you’re online looking at www.satellitestarinternet.com comparing internet plans or studying for your MCATs you’ve got to stay caffeinated. Here are a few of our favorite drinks to order when we know we’ve got a lot of work to do
A Large Brewed Coffee – Yep, the old standby has the most bang for the buck when it comes to caffeine and it’s a great deal, too. Get a big one and don’t add too much sugar – you don’t want to be coming down off a sugar rush while you’re jittery from the 400mg of caffeine.
Americano – Americanos lie somewhere between regular coffee and espresso and if you can’t quite take the bitter taste of a small cup, try one of these. You can add milk and dilute it a bit and it’s almost like drinking a latte.
Green Tea – Green tea actually has a surprising amount of caffeine, particularly if you don’t add milk. It’s not going to jolt you like an espresso but if you’re coffee weary it will do the job.

Coffee after dinner or in the middle of the day calls for a snack. Some of the greatest things in life are perfectly accommodated by a good cup of joe.

1. Doughnuts. What goes together better than coffee and doughnuts? You don’t have to be part of a police department to dunk a soft, fresh doughnut into a steaming cappuccino.

2. Coffee cake. The crumbly cinnamon sugar washes down deliciously with a creamy cup. With a raspberry filling, the dense, soft white cake will have an unexpected tangy flavor that perfectly complements the brew.

3. Cheesecake. Thick, cool cheesecake, no matter how delicious and rich it is, can sometimes get stuck in the back of the throat. Helping it ease down with a warm cup of coffee shows that opposites really do attract. The cold, thick texture of this cake works perfectly with the silky smooth beverage.

4. Key Lime Pie. The tangy zing of a big slice of key lime pie is always refreshing after a hot gulp of coffee.

5. Croissants. This combination is most popular in Britain, where some have the pastry with a cup of coffee every morning. It makes a light, delicate brunch or breakfast. A morning snack this elegant calls for serving coffee in dainty teacups.

6. Ice cream. Chocolate and vanilla can be served on the side, or, for the more adventurous, directly inside the coffee cup. Then, the coffee is a dessert all on its own!

The smell of coffee is hypnotizing, but the taste is better. Coffee ranges from dark and robust to light and sweet flavors. The smell of coffee is important. When choosing a new coffee blend, choose something that attracts your nose! Go ahead, smell them all! Don’t be shy, now. Some of my favorite blends are classic hazelnut, exotic-tasting coconut, and French roast. My all-time favorite coffee treat is coconut coffee with coconut milk creamer (available in your local grocery store). Can you tell that I love coconut? It is simply divine. I’m not too picky, however, I prefer my coffee caffeinated. Every sip of coffee is like a little taste of heaven. Don’t deny yourself the lovely drink. Jazz it up with cream and sugar, or just drink it black. Ah, it’s so good any way. Specialty creams make it even more delicious. Try caramel flavors or mint mocha! Mmm, the hardest part is choosing which to buy! Find your favorite flavors and compare your favorites with your friends! If you’re feeling extra spontaneous, invite the crew over for some coffee and cream-based liquor. Coffee is not only a morning pick-me-up, but a tasty drink for any time of day!The information party rocks on: Silk PureCoconut

When discussing coffee brewing, people tend to have many different opinions on whether using whole beans or ground makes for better flavor. The truth is, it really depends on personal preference, and favored coffee style. There are several “styles” of coffee preference as well. The black or cream-and-sugared morning cup, the flavored made-at-home-with-a-french-press cup, the quick-stop-to-a-coffee-shop-for-a-gourmet cup, and more. Now, if you prefer just a cup of plain black coffee first thing in the morning, you can usually get by with a canister of store-bought grounds. These aren’t without options. Firstly, you have several brands to choose from. Secondly, even these have branched out to not just your classic roast and dark roast, but also your columbian roast, your flavoring, and more. However, if you own a french press, you will get the most flavor out of buying whole beans and grinding them to the ‘french press’ or ‘espresso’ setting right before brewing. Its no secret that your coffee shops start with whole beans and grind them daily. This keeps the flavor fresh until they are used. Experimentation is a great idea as well. If you don’t know what you prefer, try each until you find what works for you.If you like what you see, keep going: What Is The Best Method of Brewing Coffee?

With the many new available, high-tech coffee “gadgets” out there, one of the old tried-and-true standards for making coffee still remains to be one of the best. This is the classic percolator. The percolator’s popularity has declined in recent years, with many younger coffee drinkers not understanding what a fine cup of coffee this type of coffee-brewing device can produce. Percolators produce a hotter coffee and more robust flavor than many other brewing methods.
There are two types of percolators available, including stove-top and automatic. The stove-top version is not only useful on the stove, but it is also very popular among campers. The mechanism by which they brew requires no electricity, only a high heat source, which makes the percolator a wonderful tool for producing quality coffee over a campfire.
The automatic type of percolator have their own, built-in heat source, which does require plugging them in. These percolators can be very convenient for someone without access to a stove, such as in an office or dorm room.
When chosing a coffee percolator, look for a fine sieve in the coffee basket. This fine sieve prevents loose grounds from appearing in your cup of coffee. Also look for a percolator made of stainless steel. Aluminum versions can alter the taste of the coffee, often giving it a metallic taste, especially when the percolator gets older.
